Hi there, I'm Bruno Silva!

Senior Product Designer · Design Systems Specialist · Frontend (HTML, CSS, React)

Senior Product Designer specialized in Design Systems, with over 13 years in design and more than 7 focused on product design. My product design foundation guides my work as a design systems specialist, and my technical fluency in frontend (HTML, CSS, React) lets me turn design decisions into viable components, integrated with development. My most recent edge is designing the AI-powered systems that produce that work, without compromising on quality.

About

Passionate about creating digital experiences that delight and truly work. With a collaborative, organized, and agile approach, I turn products into intuitive, accessible, people-centered solutions. To me, design goes beyond aesthetics, it's about solving problems and making technology more human.

At Nio, I was responsible for NioDS, a multiplatform, accessible design system for web and app. I built an AI agent pipeline that lets me sustain the consistency and the volume of documentation, code, and specification that would normally require an entire team.

At RD Station, I led the evolution and scalability of Tangram, the design system behind the company's products. The work raised the consistency and usability of the interfaces and delivered productivity gains for the teams, reducing rework and speeding up delivery, which made it possible to ship solutions faster and with higher quality.

As a Product Designer with a hybrid profile, I move fluidly between the technical and the strategic, bridging communication between design and engineering and making sure the solutions we design are not only desirable and viable, but also executable and sustainable.

I believe consistent products are born from collaboration between design, engineering, and business, and it's at that intersection, between the technical and the strategic, that I like to work.

Work

Case visual for NioDS, Nio's multiplatform design system.

Building an AI agent pipeline to construct an entire design system, without compromising on quality

As the sole person responsible for NioDS, Nio's multiplatform design system, I turned component creation into an AI agent pipeline. Automation took over the execution. The architecture and the design decisions are still mine.

Building a tool to accelerate evolution and ensure a consistent experience across RD Station products

Improving the user experience and speeding up delivery takes more than good intentions, it calls for structure, alignment, and a shared vision. By connecting design, technology, and strategy, we created a foundation that drives consistency, reduces rework, and generates continuous value for the business.

Product Designer, Design Systems Specialist

Badaro (assigned to Nio) - Remote

Responsible for the conception and evolution of NioDS, the design system of Nio, a fiber-optic internet provider. End-to-end technical decision-maker: token architecture, components, accessibility, documentation, and governance, in a multiplatform system for web and app.

Key deliverables:

  • Built a three-layer semantic token system covering 100% of the mapped scope, with light and dark themes (dark mode), mobile responsiveness, and apps.
  • Created an AI-assisted component development pipeline, with specialized agents per stage and approval gates, cutting a component's specification and documentation from 1–2 days to under 2 hours, while maintaining consistency across code, visual application, and documentation.
  • Acted as the guardian of experience principles in product decisions, defending consistency and information hierarchy with stakeholders and incorporating the team's valid counterpoints into the evolution of the design system's components.
  • Drove design system adoption across the design and engineering layers, treating the design system as a problem of organizational adoption, not just technical delivery.

Product Designer

RD Station - Florianópolis (remote)

Responsible for the redesign and evolution of an internal tool used by Finance, Customer Success, and Support, optimizing flows and information architecture. Began collaborating on building the company's design system, ensuring consistency across products.

My main mission was to improve the usability experience for different internal user profiles, ensuring smooth processes for contracting, support, and financial management. I took part in the entire design process, from research to prototyping, proposing solutions that balanced technical feasibility, usability, and operational efficiency.
